This detailed technical content helped to instruct merchants on the specific attributes required to advertise on Google properties. In addition to writing technical content, I edited HTML code on each page to support a new program format.

PayPal is an online payments and mobile commerce company. In 2021, I collaborated with internal teams and stakeholders to research products and create various sales support tools. This FAQ document promoted alternative payment methods such as digial wallets within the PayPal platform.

Cisco Systems is a global computer networking and software company. In 2016, I began writing technical content for their Proposal Expert Services division. These proposals are created for the firm's Enterprise Network sales teams. Through frequent collaboration with subject matter experts and product research, original content is produced for routers, switches, security, and wireless solutions.

HALLMARK CARDS
I've written several original articles for Hallmark Cards' Corporate Communications department. This sample details the "QuickSet" manufacturing process that was implemented by the company in 1993. The story was featured on Hallmark's employee intranet site and was distributed via their "Noon News" employee newsletter.

THE KAUFFMAN FOUNDATION
The Kauffman Foundation is a non-profit association dedicated to education and entrepreneurship. In 2015, I assisted them with a project to honor graduates of their FastTrac program. This required interviewing graduates as well as editing existing information for inclusion on the FasTtrac website.

In 2014, I began writing original content for the LinkedIn community using the LinkedIn Publishing platform. The articles included business-oriented themes such as leadership, teamwork, networking, and current business trends. LinkedIn featured some of these stories on their official "Pulse" blog.

SPRINT PUBLISHING
Before they were acquired by R. H. Donnelley in 2006, Sprint Publishing handled over 700 yellow pages directories across the country. To sell advertising space, sales managers used numerous sales collateral materials in the field. I wrote this content to compare and contrast the benefits of advertising in the yellow pages verses marketing in a magazine.

In 2014, Sega began updating their marketing materials. Their recruitment brochure was about ten years old and required a complete re-design. Included in this update was new promotional copy. I contributed text for several sections, including the introduction page shown here.

In 2011, I was selected as a "Midwest Voices Columnist" by The Kansas City Star. These columns offered opinion and analysis of both local and national issues of the day. This article was written as a response to the debt limit negotiations in 2011. In addition, I interacted with readers on the Star's online blog.

Infographics are a great visual tool for marketers. In 2014, I created several infographic pieces to support Sega's attendance at various conferences and tradeshows across the country. In addition to researching and writing all of the copy, I produced the designs using infographic software.
Press Releases
SEGA INC.
To promote their engineering project in Garden City, KS, Sega requested a press release be written to document the 2013 groundbreaking ceremony, prior to the construction phase. I traveled to the site, interviewed sources, and photographed the event. This press release was distributed to local and national outlets within the power engineering industry.
Magazine Features
AIR POLLUTION CONTROL
Sega is a power engineering firm that specializes in projects for the energy sector. In addition to researching and writing proposals for them, I also wrote magazine articles for some of their industry trade publications. This sample is from the June, 2014 edition of Air Pollution Control magazine. The three-part series discussed the importance of using a diverse fuel approach in existing power plants.

ANDREWS MCMEEL UNIVERSAL
Andrews McMeel publishes hundreds of titles in the humor genre, including Dilbert and Peanuts. This sample includes a book review I wrote for Andrews McMeel Universal regarding one of their titles, "Ready, Steady, Spaghetti," a cookbook written for kids. I interviewed a local gourmet cooking expert for additional details. This review was published on the Yahoo Shine online blog site in 2010.
